D&G Logistics Inc. is currently seeking an experienced and dependable Truck Trailer Mechanic (NOC 72410) to join our team in Regina, Saskatchewan. We are looking for a motivated individual with strong diagnostic and repair skills to maintain our fleet of commercial trucks and trailers while ensuring safety and reliability.
Position Details
• Position: Truck Trailer Mechanic (NOC 72410)
• Location: 1020 Wellings Road, RM of Sherwood (Regina), SK S4K 0A2
• Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time
• Salary: $33.60 per hour
• Hours: 40 hours per week
• Start Date: As soon as possible
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to:
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic faults in commercial trucks and trailers.
• Inspect engines, transmissions, drive trains, steering systems, suspensions, axles, and differentials to identify defects and malfunctions.
• Repair, overhaul, adjust, or replace components of truck and trailer systems.
• Inspect and repair brake systems, air brake components, wheel bearings, hubs, and suspension assemblies.
• Perform preventive maintenance and scheduled servicing on commercial transport vehicles.
• Conduct safety inspections and roadworthiness assessments to ensure compliance with manufacturer specifications and transportation regulations.
• Operate computerized diagnostic equipment to identify faults and verify repairs.
• Test repaired vehicles and adjust systems to ensure proper performance and safety.
• Repair or replace lighting systems, electrical wiring, batteries, alternators, starters, and charging systems.
• Perform welding or fabrication of minor metal components and brackets when required.
• Replace tires, wheels, and related components and perform wheel-end inspections.
• Estimate parts and labour required for repairs and maintenance.
• Maintain accurate service records, inspection reports, and repair documentation.
• Order or recommend replacement parts and advise management regarding future maintenance requirements.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workshop while complying with occupational health and safety procedures.
• Respond to emergency mechanical breakdowns and assist in minimizing vehicle downtime.
Qualifications
• College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 to 2 years, or equivalent technical training.
• 2 years to less than 3 years of relevant experience repairing commercial trucks and trailers.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, truck-trailer systems, air brakes, and diagnostics.
• Experience using computerized diagnostic equipment and repair tools.
• Ability to interpret technical manuals and repair specifications.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
Work Environment
• On-site position (no remote work available).
• Morning, Day, Evening, and Weekend shifts may be required.
• Fast-paced commercial repair environment.
• Criminal record check may be required.
