Job Description:
• Laying out pipelines according to blueprints, sketches, or verbal instructions
• Digging trenches or ditches to prepare for pipeline installation
• Assembling and installing various types of pipes, including metal, concrete, and plastic
• Connecting pipes using welding equipment, screws, bolts, or cement
• Caulking joints and wrapping pipes with insulation materials
• Covering pipelines with soil or other materials
• Monitoring testing equipment to ensure that pipelines are functioning properly
• Repairing leaks or breaks in pipelines
• Locating underground utilities before digging
• Adhering to safety standards when working with heavy machinery and hazardous materials
Requirements:
• Education: No formal education required, experience in lieu of education. Trade certificate preferred.
• Experience: Must have minimum 1 year of previous pipelaying experience in a unionized environment.
Working Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Attention to detail, occasionally overtime is required, Work under pressure, Long hours, Physically demanding

Salary: $48.44 per hour [salary rates determined by union collective agreement]
Benefits: Please note that the Employer is not providing any benefits directly, however benefits are provided by LiUNA Local 183 Union. When they apply to become members of the Union they will receive benefits package. The Union offers medical, dental, pension, vision.
Vacation rate is 10% of gross earnings.
Schedule: The position requires flexibility in the schedule. The employee will typically work 50 hours per week, including day, evening, night and weekend hours based on business needs. Regular work hours are 7:00 am to 5:00 pm.
