Job Details

Rig Logistics Inc. is a trusted logistics provider seeking full-time, permanent long-haul truck drivers to join our team at the Calgary Terminal. This position requires drivers to travel overnight, be away for extended periods, drive through mountainous regions, and cross US borders.

This job is a permanent, full-time position. The hourly wage is $36 per hour, with scheduled driving hours ranging from 40 to 50 each week. The employer provides dental care, extended health care, vision care, and paid time off. Additionally, any travel expenses incurred during work will be covered by the employer.

Job Description

Responsibilities:
• Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
• Use atlases and other tools for trip planning.
• Drive as part of a two-person team or in a convoy.
• Inspect the vehicle's condition, including tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
• Receive and communicate information to central dispatch.

Job requirement:
• Completion of secondary school is required; completion of long-haul truck driver training is preferred.
• A Class 1 or A Driver’s License is required, along with a valid driver's license and a clean driving abstract.
• Previous experience is an asset. Applicants will need to pass road test examinations to evaluate driving abilities after the first interview.
• Language requirements: Must speak English.
• Candidates should be able to handle heavy loads of up to 45 kg.
• Driving experience locally, interprovincially, and internationally is preferred.
