Job Duties:
• Conduct research into the feasibility, design, operation, and performance of mechanisms, components, and systems.
• Plan and manage projects and prepare materials, cost, and time estimates for machinery and systems. Provide on-call and online technical support for operations and troubleshooting. Travel and perform on-site repairs and diagnostics as needed.
• Supervise and inspect the on-site mechanical setup and installation of equipment to meet contractual requirements.
• Provide post-installation operational training to customers and technical support to distributor and subcontractor technicians. Perform regular maintenance and inspections to maintain high equipment performance.
• Develop maintenance standards, schedules, and programs. Investigate the cause of unforeseen mechanical failures or maintenance issues.
• Prepare reports for service records and operational availability statistics.
• Coordinate with the sales team to provide a technical solution based on business needs.
Skills requirements:
? Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
? Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years
? Installation Expertise: Proven experience in the mechanical and electrical installation of large-scale components and heavy machinery. Be capable of using forklifts and other heavy equipment installation tools
? Technical Mastery: Hands-on experience maintaining a linear accelerator (LINAC) and related high-energy X-ray devices.
? System Diagnostics: Strong ability to troubleshoot and repair complex mechanisms, components, and integrated systems.
? Schematic Literacy: High proficiency in reading and interpreting detailed circuit diagrams and mechanical assembly drawings.
? Physical & Professional Agility: Willingness to travel and stay for a long time in different locations, handle on-call service, and perform hands-on field work.
