Main Duties
Supervise farrowing operations: sow movement, farrowing assistance, fostering, and weaning
Monitor sow and piglet health; implement treatment and vaccination protocols
Manage farrowing-room environment: temperature, ventilation, pen hygiene
Enforce strict cleaning, disinfection, and biosecurity measures
Coordinate with breeding barn on sow entry and farrowing targets
Maintain records of farrowing events, litter performance, and mortality
Supervise maintenance of farrowing crates, feeders, and heating systems
Train staff in neonatal pig care, safety, and animal welfare standards
Ensure compliance with farm safety, food safety, and biosecurity rules
General Responsibilities (All Supervisors)
Follow and enforce farm safety, food safety, and biosecurity protocols
Maintain accurate animal health, production, and feed usage records
Support continuous improvement initiatives in herd health and production efficiency
Perform general farm duties to assist with overall barn operations
