• Job Duties: The role of the Welder is to perform the task of welding steel and aluminum parts together according to job instructions, standard drawing specifications and follow any special instructions given by the Lead Hand Welder or Operations Manager. The welder must produce quality welds according to industry standards under the guidance of the Lead Hand Welder. In addition, the welder must also be able to program and test the robotic welder to increase efficiency and maximize output. These responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
o Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings, customer/job drawings, and other written instructions and sketches for the design and fabrication of various products.
o Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments using processes such as gas tungsten arc welding (TIG) and gas metal arc welding (MIG) to fabricate steel fence panels, gates, posts and fittings/brackets.
o Operate a CNC plasma cutting table, metal shaping machines such as brakes, shears and other metal cutting, straightening, and bending machines.
o Operate drilling and punching machines to punch, drill, tap holes.
o Operate automatic saw to cut metal parts to a particular dimension.
o Program the robotic welder and plasma cutting table for various part and assembly configurations.
o Welding parts in all positions such as flat, vertical, and horizontal and give the welded parts a finishing look by grinding and sanding.
o Perform custom fabrication, assembly, and repair of parts making jig fixtures, precision welding.
o Review finished assemblies and parts to ensure accuracy and quality against engineering drawings and customer standards.
o Perform basic maintenance and repair of welding equipment.
o Adjust welders and tooling according to work specifications, changing wires and gas cylinders.
• Terms of Employment: Full-time (35-40 hours/week)
