Main duties:
• Plan, organize, and oversee all operations of a renovation company, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
• Prepare competitive bids and detailed proposals for construction and renovation projects.
• Collaborate with clients, architects, and engineers to review plans, specifications, and design requirements.
• Recruit, hire, and supervise trade subcontractors for specialized tasks such as plumbing, heating, and electrical work.
• Develop work schedules and coordinate the activities of subcontractors to maintain efficient project flow.
• Inspect completed work to verify quality standards and ensure compliance with plans and specifications.
• Maintain an up-to-date directory of suppliers and trade subcontractors for future projects.
• Design and execute marketing and advertising strategies to promote the company’s products and services.
• When necessary, perform hands-on carpentry or other skilled trade work during construction or renovation projects.
physical Requirements:
• Physically capable of being able to stand, walk, bend, and use hands and appliances.
• Able to lift, carry or handle heavy objects (40-50lbs+)
Required Education:
High school or equivalent
Qualifications:
• At least 10 years of experience in cooperative interior design
• Project manager qualification or proven experience as a project manager
• Extensive experience in the construction industry, including experience as a general supervisor, is usually required for self-employment as a builder or a renovator.
• Leading in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification may be an asset in bidding on and obtaining building and renovation projects.
Salary:
• $40.00-$45.00 per hour (to be negotiated) for 35 hours a week, 52 weeks a year
