Position: Asphalt Raker

Location of Work: Toronto, GTA, outside GTA
Salary: $46.45 per hour, for 50 hours/week
Benefits: as per collective agreement
Position type: seasonal (32 weeks), permanent, full-time

Working conditions and physical capabilities: Physically demanding, Repetitive tasks, Attention to detail, Handling heavy loads

Tasks:
• Pave and rake asphalt
• Mix, pour and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt
• Load, unload and transport construction materials
• Clean and pile salvaged materials
• Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites
• Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction
• Assist skilled tradespersons
• Assist equipment operators to secure attachments to equipment or truck
• Shovel cement and other materials into cement mixers, spread concrete and asphalt on road surfaces using shovels, rakes and hand tampers.
