Job Description

• Inspect, test, and calibrate diagnostic and treatment equipment (exam tables, autoclaves, ECG units, sterilizers, medical gas systems) to ensure accuracy and patient safety.
• Develop and execute preventive-maintenance schedules; document results in a computerized maintenance-management system; generate reliability reports for clinic leadership.
• Diagnose mechanical, pneumatic, and basic electrical faults; repair or coordinate vendor service for complex issues; verify functionality before equipment returns to service.
• Order parts, liaise with suppliers, and track inventory of critical spares; recommend lifecycle replacements based on failure trends and manufacturer guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with CSA, Occupational Health & Safety, and Infection Prevention & Control standards; participate in safety audits and emergency-preparedness drills.
• Provide technical guidance to clinical staff on proper equipment operation and basic troubleshooting.
