Job Description

Main duties:
• Remove asbestos from ceilings, walls, beams, boilers, and other structures following asbestos removal guidelines and safety standards.
• Carefully seal off work areas to prevent contamination of surrounding areas.
• Use hand and power tools to remove asbestos-containing materials (ACMs) safely.
• Bag and dispose of asbestos materials according to environmental regulations and company policies.
• Clean up work area and tools following the removal of asbestos and ensure that all safety protocols are followed to minimize exposure.
• Wear and maintain protective gear and participate in safety training sessions to handle hazardous materials effectively.
• Assist with the setup and removal of encapsulation materials and decontamination units.
• Regularly inspect job sites for compliance with safety standards and report potential hazards to the supervisor.
• Direct traffic around work areas to ensure the safety of other workers and the public.Perform other activities at construction sites, as directed.
