Aman's House! I am looking for a full-time Nanny (Child Care Provider) to care for young children in a private home in Campbellville, Ontario (L0P 1B0). The work is on site at the family’s home. Youth aged 15 to 30 are encouraged to apply.
Duties: supervise and care for the children; bathe, dress and feed them; change diapers and follow the parents’ lead with toilet training; prepare and serve nutritious meals; prepare the children for rest periods; organize activities such as games and outings; help with homework; instruct the children in personal hygiene and social development; tend to their emotional well-being; discipline according to the methods requested by the parents; keep records of daily activities and health information; take the children to and from school and appointments; maintain a safe and healthy home; perform light housekeeping and cleaning; shop for food and household supplies; wash, iron and press clothing and household linens; assume responsibility for the household in the parents’ absence; and travel with the family on trips, assisting with child supervision and housekeeping.
Terms: this is a term position from January 15, 2027 to January 15, 2028. It is full time, 35 to 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday. Hours vary with the parents’ schedule and include some evenings, with midday time off. The wage is $20.85 per hour. Optional live-in accommodation is available at no charge and is not a condition of employment. Free parking is available.
Requirements: English. Secondary school graduation or equivalent experience. At least 1 year of experience in child care or household management. Food allergy and anaphylaxis training. First Aid and CPR certificates. References, and a criminal record check and vulnerable sector check. The job is physically demanding, involves lifting up to 23 kg (50 lbs), and can be high pressure.
