We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and experienced Family Caregiver to provide personal care and assistance to a senior in a private household in Sherwood Park, Alberta.
The successful candidate will assist with daily living activities, provide companionship, support personal well-being, and help maintain a safe, comfortable, and supportive home environment.
Education and Experience Requirements
Secondary (high school) graduation certificate or equivalent.
At least 1 year but less than 2 years of relevant caregiving experience.
Ability to communicate effectively in English.
Ability to provide compassionate and respectful care to a senior.
Dependability, patience, and good interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently in a private household.
Compensation and Benefits
Hourly wage of $22.00.
Permanent, full-time employment with 35 hours per week.
Night shift premium, when applicable.
Employer-paid learning and training.

Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities
Provide bedside assistance and personal care, including help with daily living activities.
Assist with medications according to established care instructions and within the caregiver’s permitted responsibilities.
Assist with regular exercise, walking, and mobility.
Provide companionship and emotional support.
Prepare and cook nutritious meals.
Shop for groceries, food, and household supplies.
Perform light housekeeping and general cleaning duties.
Launder clothing, bedding, and household linens.
Assist with daily care routines and health-related support within the caregiver’s qualifications and permitted scope of practice.
Monitor the senior’s general well-being and communicate any concerns to the employer.
