Job Description:
• Greet patrons, present menus, make recommendations and answer questions regarding food and beverages
• Describe menu items including daily specials for customers
• Address customers' complaints or concerns
• Prepare and serve specialty food at customers' tables
• Present bills to customers and accept payment in cash, credit or debit cards, travellers cheques or room billings
• Advise on menu selections
• Balance cash and record sales
• Clear and clean tables, trays and chairs
• Describe and advise on wine selection
• Order and maintain inventory of wines and wine glassware
• Perform sensory evaluation of wines
• Serve food and beverages
• Supervise other servers and bussing staff
• Take orders and relay to kitchen and bar staff
• Assist clients/guests with special needs
• Provide customer service
Requirements:
• Education: No educational requirements. Smart Serve Certification (or provincial equivalent) required or ability to obtain certification as required.
• Experience: Minimum one (1) year of restaurant, hospitality, luxury hotel, or related food and beverage service experience.
Working Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Standing for extended periods, physically demanding, Fast-paced environment, Repetitive tasks, Attention to detail, Work under pressure, Ability to move, lift, carry, push, and pull objects weighing up to 30 lbs without assistance

Salary: $18.00 hourly

Important Information: The position requires flexibility in the schedule. The employee will work a minimum of 30 hours per week, including day, evening, and weekend hours based on business needs. Rotational shifts available between 7:00 AM and 10:00 PM. Most common shift lasts 8 hours.
