Duties:
• Help with bathing, grooming, dressing, and hygiene.
• Plan and prepare nutritious, customized meals to suit dietary needs.
• Participate in friendly conversation, provide emotional support, and provide specialized dementia care to ensure comfort, safety and well-being.
• Assist in the administration of medications and ensure the correct medication is taken on time.
• Assist with walking, exercise, and transfers.
• Light housekeeping such as doing laundry, washing dishes and making beds to maintain a safe and clean environment.

Requirements:
• Completion of secondary school is required.
• Completion of a training program in care of the elderly, care of persons with disabilities, convalescent care or in a related field is required.
• 1+ year of experience in taking care of family members in private homes, including caring for the elderly and during periods of incapacitation and convalescence.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be reliable, nurturing, and attentive, with adept interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to prepare nutritious meals.
• Willing to provide routine health-related duties such as assisting in the administration of medications.
• Flexible to work on weekends.
