Star House Family Restaurant, located in Prince Albert, is the home of authentic Szechuan and Cantonese cuisine. The menu features classic Chinese food such as chow mein, fried rice, chicken meat balls, and pork spare ribs. We also offer different Canadian favorites such as steak, shrimp, and Greek ribs.

We are seeking an experienced Cook to join our team at the busy restaurant. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, ensuring consistent quality, taste, and presentation while maintaining high standards of food safety and kitchen efficiency.

Job Duties: 
1.Prepare and cook a wide range of Chinese dishes, including stir-fries, noodle and rice dishes, soups, and specialty regional items
2.Follow established recipes and restaurant standards to ensure consistency in food quality and portion control
3.Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet customer demand during peak hours
4.Assist in maintaining inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment; assist in ordering ingredients as needed
5.Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and compliance with health and safety regulations
6.Clean kitchen and work areas, including equipment, utensils, and surfaces
7.Ensure proper storage, handling, and rotation of food products in accordance with food safety standards


Qualifications:
1.Completion of secondary school
2.Minimum 2–3 years of commercial cooking experience, preferably in Chinese cuisine
3.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
4.Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
5.Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
