Job Description

Duties: Make made-to-measure garments, such as suits and coats according to customers. Responsible to perform alterations and repair garments according to clients’ requests by hands or using sewing machines. Repairs or replaces defective garment parts such as pockets, pocket flaps and coat linings. May assist with trimming and preparation for orders.  May perform minor maintenance and repairs on sewing machine

Job is full time (40 hr. per week) and permanent. Wage -$16.00 per hour plus 4% vacation pay. Education -secondary school. Experience -  2 years of experience in making custom, made-to-measure traditional Indian women’s garments in a professional setting. Language – English

Must demonstrate ability of sewing skillset. Demonstrated ability to sew, alter and repair garments.
