Job Details

Ichiban Sushi Restaurant of 932 Fitzgerald Avenue, Courtenay, BC V9N 2R5 requires a Cook.
Salary range $16.50 - $18.00 per hour depending on experience.
Must speak English.
Vietnamese is an asset as all staff and suppliers speak Vietnamese.
The successful applicant will be required to
• Prepare and cook complete meals
• Schedule and supervise kitchen helpers
• Oversee kitchen operations
• Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
• Clean kitchen and work area
• May plan menus, determine size of food portions, estimate food requirements and costs, and monitor and order supplies
• May hire and train kitchen staffs
Applicants should have
Completion of a three-year apprenticeship program for cooks or completion of college or other program in cooking or food safety or several years of commercial cooking experience
