Job title: Food Service Supervisor

Hourly rate: 19.50 Cad

Weekly hour: 40 hours


Tractor Everyday Healthy Foods first opened its doors in 2013 in the neighborhood of Kitsilano, located in Vancouver, BC. We are a family owned business passionate about creating fresh, healthy, delicious food.

In each restaurant, our open-concept kitchens are embedded right in the main dining room where guests order their food at the counter and sit down to eat. Put simply, our kitchens and fresh seasonal ingredients are the stars of the show.


As a Food Service Supervisor, your duties include, but are not limited to:

·         Supervise, co-ordinate and schedule the activities of staff who prepare, portion and serve food;

·         Create and monitor food order summaries for chef according to special requests from customers with food allergies or intolerances, or other customers;

·         Ensure and record daily inventory counts and wasted supplies/stock;

·         Provide training and guidance to staff in preparation and handling of food as well as customer service standard;

·         Address customers' complaints or concerns;

·         Responsible for overseeing restaurant operation and providing outstanding food and beverage service to customers;

·         Monitor sanitation practices in dining area as well as other staff’s work area to ensure staff follow standards and safety regulations;

·         Maintain and constantly improve the level of overall food and service meet quality control standards;

·         Supervise and check assembly of trays;

·         Assist in the process of recruitment and the development of restaurant policies, operation procedures and budgets and food and labour costs;

·         Prepare to set up and oversee tables for special guests or functions;

Job Description


·         Having Food Handler certificate would be an asset

·         Having Smart Serve Certificate would be an asset

·         Completion of secondary education

·         At least one year of experience in food preparation or service

·         Work terms: early morning; morning; day; weekend; shift

·         Ability to supervise: 5-10 people; staff in various areas of responsibilities

·         Work conditions and physical capabilities: fast-faced environment; work under pressure; standing for extended periods; physically demanding

·         Work site environment: noisy; wet/damp; hot
