Our restaurant “Soul de Cuba Café” specializes in authentic Cuban cuisine and is located at 1169 Sunset Dr, Kelowna, BC, V1Y 9W7. We have an open position of 1 (one) Supervisor (Food Service, Ethnic Food). This is a full-time and permanent job. The language at work is English.

Job Description

Main duties are: Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards in our Ethnic Restaurant; supervise, co-ordinate and schedule the activities of staff who prepares, portion and serves food; will participate in the selection and hiring and train food service staff; ensure sanitary and safety procedures; maintain stock, estimate and order ingredients and supplies required for meal preparation, may plan menus and determine related food and labour costs; maintain records and submit reports on request; check on size of food portions according to menus; addresses customers complains and concerns.

We expect the completion of secondary school and either completion of a college program in food service administration, hotel and restaurant management (or related discipline) or several years of experience (minimum of 2 years) in food preparation or service in the field (ethnic food).
Knowledge of our restaurant’s genre is and Food Safe Certificate (or equivalent) is required.
Having work experience as Supervisor in a Cuban Restaurant is definitely an asset.
