Rai & Sandhu Inc. O/A Max’s Bakery & Deli located at 3105 Oak Street, Vancouver, BC, Canada V6H 2L2 is currently hiring 2 Bakers to join their team as soon as possible.

Position: Baker

Position Available: 2

Terms of Employment: Full Time and Permanent

Wage: $13.00 per Hour, for 40 hours per week

Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible

Location: 3105 Oak Street, Vancouver, BC, Canada V6H 2L2

Job Duties:

• Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls and sweet goods, batters for muffins, cookies and cakes and icings and frostings according to recipes or special customer orders
• Bake mixed dough and batters
• Prepare special orders
• Frost and decorate cakes and baked goods
• Draw up production schedules
• Ensure that the quality of products meets established standards
• Inspect kitchen and food service areas
• Operate machinery

Job Description

Education: Completion of secondary school is required

Experience: Completion of a three- or four-year apprenticeship program for bakers or Completion of a college or other program for bakers or 2-3 years of baking experience is required.

Languages: English is required

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Tight deadlines, Repetitive tasks, Work under pressure, Standing for extended periods, Fast-paced environment

Personal Suitability: Reliability, Dependability, Team player, Judgement

Candidate should be willing to work on all shifts (Evening & weekend).
