The Super 8 Motel, located at 2010 Valhalla Road, Quesnel, BC is seeking a permanent full-time Motel/Hotel Clerk Supervisor to join its staff. This position is available to be filled immediately.

Specific Requirements of the Job include:

Ability to work well in a fast paced environment, under time pressure
Ability to supervise the work of 1-4 clerks
Standing for long periods of time during their shift; meet the physical demands of typical hotel work (lifting boxes, carrying items, pushing carts)
Be capable of interacting with customers in English
Have good knowledge of Super 8 Motel offerings
Be capable of addressing customer concerns or complaints in a reasonable manner
Demonstrate effective interpersonal skills, client focus, and good oral communication with customers and fellow staff members

Education and Experience Required:

Secondary School Graduation Certificate required
1-2 years of previous experience as a Supervisor in the lodging industry

The selected candidate must have their own mode of transportation to & from work, and shall be required to provide a clean Criminal Record Check prior to commencement of work.

Wage: $22.00 per hour
Hours: 30-44 hours/week; Early Morning, Morning, Evening Shift, Weekend, Nights

Job Description

Specific duties include:

Co-ordinate, assign and review work of hotel clerks
Ensure smooth operation of computer systems, equipment and machinery and arrange for maintenance and repair work
Requisition of materials and supplies necessary for hotel service
Establish work schedules and procedures for hotel clerks, and co-ordinate activities with other work units or departments
Assist clients/guests with special needs
Resolve work-related problems, or guest issues
Prepare and submit progress and other reports
May perform the same duties as workers supervised.
